Would you swim with eels for younger-looking skin?

At Akoya Skin Spa, we are very mindful of our clients' safety.  We always clean all of our linens, we thoroughly disinfect all of our tools, and last, but not least, we adhere to a policy of not using any live animals in any of our spa treatments.

That's more than can be said about this spa in Central China. [Warning: Reader discretion advised].  For those of you with weaker stomachs, a Chinese man recently underwent a spa treatment designed to yield younger-looking skin, which involved the use of live eels to eat dead skin off of the subject's body.  Let's just say in this unfortunate case the eel slithered into a location it wasn't supposed to and had to be surgically removed.

(Similar treatment that uses eels during pedicures to remove dead skin on the feet)

We can't think of why that spa would ever concoct such a strange treatment?  Out of laziness?  For the novelty factor?  In any case, here at Akoya Skin Spa, we guarantee that your spa visit will be free of any unpleasant sea creatures.  Believe it or not, we actually have a number of safe AND effective treatments to give you younger looking skin.

For example, our Power Peel exfoliates the skin stimulates collagen production, while also improving skin tone and treating hyperpigmentation and fine wrinkles.  Our strongest peel, the Power Peel causes some temporary flaking of the skin and aesthetic down time.  The Power Peel is a safe and effective treatment as applied by our qualified skin professionals.
